These are ideas stemming from two things that appear different but are the same. Throughout history, humans have frequently merged two seemingly disparate concepts to create something novel. This practice is particularly common in the creative arts. There has been much discussion about the effectiveness of combining different elements to produce innovative ideas and inventions.
